I have a decent life now but being wanted and needed would make me happier. I think decent men are great people and I truly enjoy their company.

It may be hard for men in this age range to date, but it’s also no picnic for women, especially since I have found dating sites to be a waste of time, and I don’t care for the bar scene. There were so many people i know who ended up getting divorces at your age because of cheating . Mostly the male partner cheated but in some cases it was the woman.

I would look at it this way, if you meet a mature, kind woman who is interested in you, don’t focus on her age. Focus on what her interests are, what her values are, and how she treats people. I don’t mean that you should date women who obviously are in their 20’s. You can feel it when someone is mature and has lived enough of life to be compatible. I was together with my ex-husband for a total of 19 yrs, 16 yrs married. I was a loyal, caring wife believing we’d be together until old age.

What Do Men In Their 50s Want In A Woman?

I know several good women who have tried it for years only to get nowhere. Spring Hill Frank………I am 50 and I have no interest in dating much younger than my age. I would have nothing in common with a man in his 20’s or 30’s. I would go a little younger than my age if I found a nice guy, but not much younger. I don’t care what the articles out there say. Even though age to me is not the most important thing when considering a partner, I am not prepared to date someone young enough to be my son.

How to Gain Confidence, Attract High-Quality Men and Create Lasting Love FAST

Marriage is like giving your Girl a loaded gun and hoping she doesn’t use it on you. I’m 48, recently divorced (2 months?) after a 24 year marriage, and I am single for the first time since I was 14. I have been getting sex in some form since my early teens and living without it right now is super tough! What I’m finding though is that I’m able to do more for others than I ever was before. For example, I’m writing this when normally I would never try and help someone out.

They likely were divorced not out of need, but due to a social agenda or insecurity. Whereas a married man does not place emphasis on an aging woman’s looks, when you are single, you are not thinking with the same parameters. Older women seem to have this wierd expectation and baggage that is not really reflective of the give-take, role-based relationship that men actually want. It almost always comes out right on the first date and you have to engage in this wierd fake dialog. Okay here I am, married later than the norm, had a son when I was 37, married for 22 years and found out my now ex had a penchant for VERY young stuff. Apparently, he forget he was supposed to have stopped dating when married.

However, society places more restrictive age limits of 71 and 75 respectively. Although I could have hit the streets of New York and surveyed people in-person Buunk style, I decided to mTurk my survey. I try to avoid as much social interaction in my daily life as possible. The results were interesting https://datingmentor.net/ but just because I want to date someone much younger than me doesn’t mean I would be okay with someone else doing the same. I still didn’t know whether the creepiness rules actually represented what society finds acceptable. In the real world of dating, there are few actual rules.

As women get older, they realize time is limited. So, they focus on the details that matter. A woman in her 20s might be absolutely embarrassed to leave the house without makeup. A woman in her 50s, however, has less to prove. She’s over putting all of her focus on appearance and would rather be on time for her doctor’s appointment than waste minutes looking for spare mascara.

I love my daughter’s unusual name — but people say it’s slang for drugs

They actually encourage me to look for someone else. It is unfortunate that age in the end does matter, although you’ve kept yourself up very well from what you’ve said. There definitely are many good points when getting to know people around your own age. For me I wouldn’t mind a few years younger or older, but not too much of an age difference. I have to say though that I once knew a man who was 70 that looked nothing like his age, was sweet, outgoing, and funny. I could see myself dating him but the circumstances weren’t right.

Face it, we all want what you said if we are healthy normal people. For me that sense of freedom came around about the time that my youngest explained his strategy for completing his undergraduate, masters, PhD course of study. He put my mind at ease that although his timetable is not the timetable I would have chosen at the same age it is what he is comfortable with and what he is confident about. I know that he will land on his feet even if he encounters a setback. I simply don’t want kids, and date someone in their 30’s or early 40’s would feel like I was raising a kid.

I do a meetup group and because of the type of meetup I do it tends to attract younger adults than myself. Some people are my age but they don’t tend to be the regulars. From what I have found with the men in my group 40 and below is they really just want to have a conversation where there is no drama and judging. It is hard for men to be themselves I think because a few women in their past who must have raked them over the coals for something they did or said. Now the dynamics of how they would interact with a woman their own age versus myself is different because the dating/sexual part isn’t part of the picture.

I am 55, single, and looking for a lady to date and hopefully become a permanent partner. I am very fit, work out regularly, and still desire love, affection, and great sex despite my age!! Ladies, please don’t always assume that most guys over 50 have inadequacies regarding their ability to perform.

I first met my husband when I was 20, he was 51. He was a divorced father of two grown-up kids, both of them are younger than me. He and I dated for only two months and then got married after that. Some people thought I was looking for a sugar daddy, but that’s not true. He treats me so well, and makes love to me so passionately. We are still married, I’m now 32 and he’s 63.

What I want is to make a good man’s life better.
